Ireland – Dublin Business School (DBS) opens new state-of-the-art studio space, with help from A.C. Entertainment Technologies Ireland (AC-ET Ireland).

DBS has evolved over the years, expanding their offerings to meet the demands of various sectors. Their extensive suite of programmes now include; subjects in the areas of business, law, finance, computing, media, arts, psychology and social science.

Looking to create a modern studio with the latest technologies, DBS approached specialist entertainment technology suppliers, AC-ET Ireland, to assist with the project.

DBS’ Matthew Nolan commented; “We needed a state-of-the-art lighting studio, with black out feature, that could also function as a high-end screening room. We also needed a flexible PA system that could work with our projection system, teaching technology, and as a stand-alone sound system.”

For this project, AC-ET Ireland supplied a number of products from industry leading brands, including: PROLIGHTS’ renowned EclPanel soft lights and EclFrenels, Dynamic Audio Device (DAD) range of speakers, Draper projection screen, Zero88 lighting console, bespoke drapes to go on a Doughty Track and custom-made cable from Tourflex Cabling.

The studio is primarily used for camera and lighting classes, but also for screenings, creative media workshops, and industry guest speakers.

Matthew continued; “Our new studio allows us to train our students on the latest industry standard equipment. The LED lamps and desk recommended by Aaron at AC-ET Ireland, give us the flexibility to operate in a proper multimedia environment. The addition of a Green Screen further enhances this.

“It was crucial that we chose kit that would suit a teaching environment but also allow us be industry facing, AC-ET Ireland were really focused on these criteria and made sure we got the right balance and value for money.
